Erich Horner currently serves as an Associate Director of Major Gifts. Erich is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift donors to help make the student-athlete experience at NC State the best in the country while setting them up for success after they graduate. He arrived from Virginia Tech where he was previously the Associate Director of Major Gifts.
Prior to the Wolfpack Club, Erich managed a portfolio of 125 donors and played an integral role for VT Athletics by raising $1.75m since June 2021 to support their Reach for Excellence Campaign. Before his stop at Virginia Tech, Horner spent a few years as the Associate Director of Development for the Annual Fund at the Ole Miss Athletics Foundation. He got his start at the Gamecock Club at the University of South Carolina in 2016 as the Assistant Director of Membership Services.
Horner earned his bachelor’s degree with a major in sport management from NC State in 2015 and received his master’s in sport and entertainment management from South Carolina in 2017. He was born in Franklinville, New Jersey but raised in Concord, NC. He comes back to Raleigh with his wife, Addison (N.C. State class of 2016) their son, Colton, and their daughter, Emersyn.
